Bootle Festival of Ideas (September – December 2020)
“Aww WOW! Thank you so much for this opportunity and can’t wait to start the project”, Bernadette Colligan, BFoI winner with project ‘Bee’s Bench’.
Bootle Festival of Ideas – stopped in its tracks by the pandemic in March – came to its conclusion on 2nd December. The festival was commissioned by Sefton Council, supported by Kindred LCR and delivered by Make CIC, Wordscape and us. We hugely enjoyed working with our partner organisations on the planning and delivery of the 6 themed events and the celebration event!
Due to Covid-19, we had to change tack and deliver a mix of online and real-life events: they were facilitated by experts on 5 themes: food & growing, music & culture, making & selling, health & wellbeing and spaces for change. It was our job to work closely with the facilitators on planning and delivering the events and in the process – as always – we met loads of experienced, knowledgeable and totally amazing people.
“Nicole’s experience and input in the planning has been invaluable, especially as the festival format needed changing a number of times to accommodate the ever changing Covid19 restrictions.”, Liam Kelly, CEO Make Liverpool
